The importance of annuals: plant breeding for local adaptation

The importance of annuals: plant breeding for local adaptation. Perennials are all the rage in Permaculture, but the benefits of annuals is hard to ignore. Challenges of growing in extreme environments can be met with locally adapting varieties through seed saving.

We cover trialing varieties from similar climates, breeding through populations of ever evolving ecosystems using creative designs for microclimates, and cooperation with a network of regenerative practitioners.

The joy of entering into the dance of seed saving and seeing what nature can create in harmony with humans is a key part of our history which we will reawaken.
