Two excursions

Thanks to the generosity of Aremark municipality, the festival will offer two excursions on Saturday 05th August! Participants can choose to join one excursion; Either to the planned ecovillage, or to the art exhibition at Strømsfoss mill. There are limited places on these trips, and they will be leaving together at 9.30 from the carpark at Bøensætre.

A) Excursion to the planned ecovillage:

The veteran bus from the 1950s picks us up at Bøensætre and takes us down to a beautiful area which is in the planning phase to become an eco-village. We get an inspection with Aremark’s mayor Håkon Tolby and Egil Kortnes. Frederica Miller, who is an architect, will also be there.

After the inspection, we are picked up by the veteran bus which takes us down to Skotsberg brygge where we board the old canal boat MS Thor which was built in 1903. Thor and his friends will take us up the beautiful Halden Canal and we will see the upcoming ecotun from the waterway.

Tove Lervik gives us a guided tour along the way. The boat trip ends with sluicing through the Strømsfoss lock system. Here the veteran bus is waiting for us and will take everyone home to Bøensætre
